Welcome to Off the Shelf 2008

11 October - 1 November 2008

Festival Read

We are delighted that Yorkshire based author Sophie Hannah, and her new novel ‘The point of rescue’, has been chosen as this year’s Festival Read.  The new book reinforces Sophie’s reputation as a great thriller writer.  Her chilling, ingenious and inventive writing is guaranteed to chill with plot complications that will keep you guessing until the last page.

Throughout the Festival programme are details of how you can meet Sophie, hear her read and put your questions to her.

Hodder & Stoughton have kindly supplied copies of the point of rescue for library reader’s groups.  You can email us your reviews of the book – offtheshelf@sheffield.gov.uk.  A selection of reviews will be posted on the Festival website.

Thanks to Hodder & Stoughton for supporting this project.
