What can Off the Shelf offer your company?
Sheffield’s Off the Shelf festival of Writing and Reading is now in it’s 19th year and is well established as one of the most exciting events in the region’s cultural calendar. The festival continues to grow in size, prestige and popularity and is largest Festivals in the North. The festival is recognised by Arts Council England, Yorkshire as one of the key literary events in the region. The festival enjoys an excellent reputation and is able to attract some of the best known names in literature and the media to Sheffield each year. Previous festivals have included appearances by Kate Adie, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Ben Okri, Rose Tremain, Sarah Waters, Nick Hornby, Simon Armitage, Benjamin Zephaniah, Doris Lessing, Michael Frayn, Hilary Mantel, Ian Rankin, Jamie Oliver and Stephen Fry to name just a few.
By sponsoring Off the Shelf you can be associated with a prestigious and popular Festival offering a high quality, exciting and wide ranging programme of events.
Each year the Festival attracts over 20,000 people with the audience figure growing each year. A further estimated 100,000 people view Festival displays and exhibitions. We attract excellent audiences with many of our events selling out. Our audiences are loyal, diverse, cover all age ranges from the very young upwards and, where some literature events attract a primarily female audience, we attract both genders. We receive a large amount of very positive feedback each year. Our mailing list of keen and regular attenders contains over 5,000 names and we have a large and growing e-list. The festival website has a huge amount of visits throughout the year, reaching a peak before and during the festival.
In the audience survey carried out at the 2008 Festival, 95% thought that the event attended was good or excellent, 94% thought it offered excellent or good value for money and 95% rated the quality of the overall Festival programme excellent or good.
Forty thousand full colour brochures are distributed across Sheffield and the region and, via the mailing list, countywide. We also produce full colour posters and flyers for individual events. Our website receives a huge number of hits throughout the year and we attract a large amount of press coverage.
Off the Shelf offers great value for money with a wide range of sponsorship packages available starting at £1,000 plus VAT. Sponsorship packages offer a wide range of benefits including acknowledgement of sponsorship in the brochure, on tickets and on posters and flyers, an advertisement within the brochure, complimentary tickets, acknowledgement of sponsorship on the Off the Shelf website, additional marketing opportunities. We can also organise corporate entertainment for your clients at events. We are known for our imaginative programming and can create an event within the Festival linked to your company brand or targeting a particular audience or community. We can also organise creative and stimulating workshops for your workforce. We are happy to meet with sponsors to discuss specific aims and ideas.
