Biography of a Fly – the poster trail from 15 – 31 October

Join us for a special festival walking tour as we unveil Jaap Robben’s novella Biography of a Fly across the streets of Sheffield!  Use the link below to explore this fantastic project.

Biography of a Fly tells the life story of a fly from his first waking moments until his deathbed, making friends and enjoying life along the way, no matter that it’s short. Off the Shelf is excited to bring you this tale split across 30 posters around the city centre. Head off on a self led walk or – cycle – to read it chapter by chapter and let us know where you are in the tale by tweeting us with #otsbuzzz Find the map trail with all 30 sites listed below.  Please note there is no time set for the self led walk – the time on the event is a glitch which we are working to resolve.

Biography of a Fly is translated by David Doherty and beautifully illustrated by Paul Faassen.  We would love to see your selfies by these wonderful designs.

Hear Jaap in conversation about his recent novel Summer Brother (tr. David Doherty) at his event on Saturday 16 October at 1pm at the Millennium Gallery.  https://www.offtheshelf.org.uk/event/summer-brother-jaap-robben/
