Millions of people listen to audiobooks every day and podcasts are hugely popular.  School children around the world are expected to bring words to life and parents have read bedtime stories for generations but… what is the secret to the spoken word?  Samuel West is a celebrated actor, voice over artist and prolific audiobook narrator.  He is a former Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres.  Here he gives his perspective and advice on the art of reading out loud.
