Loud Black Girls – Yomi Adegoke in conversation with Sharna Jackson
Tue, 13 October 6:00pm
Yomi Adegoke, one of the authors of the ground-breaking Slay In Your Lane will discuss newly curated anthology Loud Black Girls. Yomi and Elizabeth Uviebinené the two editors of the book, invited the next generation of black women in Britain – authors, actors, activists and artists – to explore what it means to them to exist in these turbulent times. From assessing the cultural impact of Marvel’s Black Panther to asking how we teach our daughters to own their voices, these timely essays offer fierce, funny and insightful perspectives.
I so enjoyed stepping inside the minds of these younger women who have so much to say, so much to express, so much to challenge Bernardine Evaristo
Please note the event will feature Yomi Adegoke in conversation with Sharna Jackson and not both Yomi and Elizabeth Uviebinené as originally advertised
