Shadow State:  Murder, Mayhem and Russia’s Remaking of the West – Luke Harding

In conversation with Professor Matthew Flinders

Award-winning journalist Luke Harding exposes Russia’s espionage campaign of fake news, cyber crime and violence which is, he argues, rapidly undermining western democracy.  From Salisbury to Helsinki, Washington to Ukraine, the Kremlin is attempting to reshape politics to its own ends.  Expelled from Moscow when a foreign correspondent Harding explores the darkest implications of Russia’s covert influence on everything from Trump to Brexit.

Revelations about Russia’s global interference might even have John le Carre scratching his head – The Scotsman

Matthew Flinders is  Professor of Politics and Founding Director of the Sir Bernard Crick Centre for the Public Understanding of Politics at the University of Sheffield.
