Sunjeev Sahota and Conor O’Callaghan in conversation with Harriet Tarlo: Online event
Sun, 31 October 11:00am
Two very different but equally innovating and intriguing writers both – happily for us – making Sheffield their home. Booker shortlisted for his novel The Year of the Runaways, Sunjeev Sahota returns with Booker longlisted, China Room. This intricate tale spans continents and decades following a troubled youth travelling to rural India and deep into his family history. Poet and writer Conor O’Callaghan’s latest novel We Are Not in the World is a lorry-driving road trip unlike any other, laced with wry comedy and private tragedy and infused with a distinctly poetic language and atmosphere.
Harriet Tarlo is Professor of Ecopoetry and Poetics at Sheffield Hallam University
