The Price of Coal PART 1: Meet the People
Tue, 15 October 6:30pm
Film 77 minutes
This classic Barry Hines, Ken Loach collaboration is rarely screened in public. Originally a TV play, it explores life at a South Yorkshire coalmine as it prepares for a royal visit by Prince Charles. The film will be followed by live music with Parson’s Lot, The Hurriers and Del Scott Miller. Poet and musician Ray Hearne will open the event with a newly commissioned work The Ballard of Wentworth and Elsecar.
